LUCKNOW, Aug. 4 -- Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) approved a nearly doubled budget for FY 2026-27, along with new industrial areas in Fatehpur and Ayodhya, during its 51st Board Meeting on Monday. UPSIDA chairman Alok Kumar, additional chief secretary, infrastructure and industrial development department, presided over the meeting. The Board took several key decisions to accelerate industrial development, strengthen infrastructure, promote investment and improve administrative efficiency across the state. "The nearly doubled budget for FY 2026-27 reflects UPSIDA's strong financial position and long-term vision. Priority will be given to developing roads, power, water supply, drainage and other core infrastructure to provide world-class facilities to investors," said Alok Kumar. The Board also approved land acquisition and purchase proposals for new industrial areas in various districts. Besides, layout plans for industrial areas in Fatehpur and Ayodhya were also approved. It also sanctioned an emergency contingency fund of up to Rs.10 lakh for regional offices and civil/electrical divisions to facilitate urgent repairs and maintenance in industrial areas. The Board gave allottees of UPSIDA residential schemes a final deadline of November 7, 2026, to execute lease deeds, failing which their allotments will be cancelled.
