PRAYAGRAJ, June 19 -- The 21st convocation of Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University (UPRTOU) will be held on July 17 at its Atal Auditorium in Prayagraj. Governor and chancellor of the university, Anandiben Patel, will preside over the ceremony. Renowned folk singer and Padma Shri awardee Malini Awasthi will be the chief guest, while higher education minister Yogendra Upadhyay and minister of state for higher education Rajni Tiwari will be the guests of honour, informed officials. Thousands of students who successfully completed undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD programmes based on examinations conducted in the December 2025 and June 2026 sessions will receive degrees during the convocation. Students recognised for outstanding academic performance will also receive Chancellor's Medals and University Gold Medals, officials added.
