UPHDB plans smaller commercial plots
LUCKNOW, June 14 -- For the first time since the launch of the Awadh Vihar scheme more than a decade ago, the UP Housing and Development Board (UPHDB) is planning smaller commercial plots within the project, deputy housing commissioner Chandan Kumar Patel said on Saturday. He said similar plans are also being considered for residential plots. The proposed commercial plots will measure between 150 and 200 square metres. The move comes amid concerns over delays in development and commercial activities in the Awadh Vihar and Vrindavan schemes. During a surprise inspection on Friday, housing commissioner Balkar Singh directed officials to expedite ongoing works and set a 15-day deadline for processing 180 plots. htc...
