LUCKNOW, July 18 -- In an administrative reshuffle, the Uttar Pradesh government on Friday transferred five Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, making changes to postings in Rampur, Lalitpur, Lucknow, Agra and the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC). According to the official transfer order, Anil Kumar Singh has been transferred from the post of superintendent of police (Security) at police headquarters in Lucknow and appointed as the new superintendent of police of Rampur. Gopal Krishna Chaudhary, who was serving as deputy commissioner of police (DCP) in the Lucknow Commissionerate, has been posted as Commandant of the 32nd Battalion, PAC, Lucknow. Mohammad Mustaq has been transferred from the post of superintendent of police, Lalitpur, and appointed as deputy commissioner of police, Lucknow Commissionerate. Somendra Meena who was serving as superintendent of police, Rampur, has been posted as superintendent of police, Regional Intelligence, Agra. Sanjeev Kumar Bajpai has been transferred from the post of Commandant, 43rd Battalion, PAC, Etah, and posted as the new Superintendent of Police, Lalitpur. The reshuffle fills vacancies created by the transfers and is intended to strengthen policing and administrative functioning in key districts and units, including the Lucknow Commissionerate, Rampur, Lalitpur and the PAC.
