Lucknow, May 8 -- The three-day UP Energy Expo 2026 began on Thursday and witnessed a grand inauguration at the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan. It has been organised in collaboration with UPPHDCCI (PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry), First View, and UP NEDA in association with Invest UP. Speaking at the inaugural session, deputy CM Brajesh Pathak stated that UP has taken a monumental leap forward in the field of alternative energy. In the month of April alone, UP set a national record by installing over 52,000 solar plants, thereby securing the top position in the country, said Pathak. Ashish Kumar Goel, additional chief secretary (energy), stated that within the next 10 years, the state will emerge as the nation's leading 'Energy State'.
