UP's Terai forests to get global screen time
LUCKNOW, Oct. 9 -- Uttar Pradesh's Terai region-home to tigers, elephants, gharials and swamp deer- will now be documented for a global audience.
A three-year wildlife filming project, 'Untamed Terai', was launched on Thursday at Nawab Wajid Ali Shah Zoological Garden in Lucknow. An MoU was signed between the UP forest department and Nalla's Ark, the outfit of five-time national award-winning wildlife film-maker Subbiah Nallamuthu, along with Environment Warriors led by Ambika Mishra. The initiative is driven by Sarojininagar MLA Rajeshwar Singh.
