LUCKNOW, Aug. 4 -- The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) has approved 10 new real estate projects in five districts across the state, attracting an investment of Rs.1,412.55 crore. The projects will create 1,632 residential and commercial units. The approvals were granted during the 207th meeting of the authority at its headquarters in Lucknow. UP RERA chairman Sanjay Bhoosreddy presided over the meeting. He said the regulatory authority is continuously promoting transparency, accountability, and timely development in the real estate sector. He added that faster project approvals and effective monitoring are helping create a more conducive environment for both homebuyers and promoters. Ghaziabad ranked first in terms of investment. Two projects with an estimated investment of Rs.957.20 crore have been approved in the district. The projects-one residential and one commercial-will together develop 625 residential and commercial units. Gautam Buddha Nagar topped the state in terms of the number of units to be developed, with three commercial projects approved. The projects involve an estimated investment of Rs.281.64 crore and will create 680 commercial units. In Lucknow, UP RERA approved three projects-two residential and one commercial-with a combined investment of Rs.26.57 crore. The projects will develop 215 residential and commercial units. In Gorakhpur, one mixed-use project worth an estimated Rs.144.09 crore was approved, providing 69 units. Moradabad received approval for one residential project with an estimated investment of Rs.3.05 crore, which will add 43 residential units.
