LUCKNOW, Sept. 4 -- A high-level delegation of the UP government held strategic discussions in Taiwan with global technology companies MediaTek and ADATA Technology pitching the state as a destination for semiconductor, electronics and advanced manufacturing investments. Led by Alok Kumar, principal secretary, IT & Electronics, the delegation is on a tour to Taiwan from September 1 to 4. It met MediaTek chairman Ming-Kai Tsai to discuss the company's India operations and explore opportunities for expansion and diversification in Uttar Pradesh. The talks focused on the state's growing electronics ecosystem, manufacturing infrastructure and potential role in strengthening the semiconductor supply chain. The delegation also met the senior leadership of ADATA Technology to explore avenues for supporting the company's expansion plans in India. Prerna Sharma, additional CEO, Invest UP, and Manish Meena, additional CEO, YEIDA, participated in the discussions. The delegation used Taiwan visit and participation at SEMICON Taiwan to take its semiconductor and electronics investment pitch directly to global technology companies, opening discussions on expansion, manufacturing and supply-chain opportunities....
