UP govt to honour Madrasa board toppers, top students to get tablets
LUCKNOW, June 1 -- The Uttar Pradesh government will honour top performers of the 2026 Madrasa Board examinations at a special ceremony in Lucknow in the first week of June.
The top 10 students from the Munshi/Maulvi (Secondary) and Alim (Senior Secondary) examinations will be felicitated. The top three students in each category will receive tablets to support their higher education.
A total of 80,933 students were registered for the examinations this year. Of these, 63,211 appeared and 55,788 passed.
In the Munshi/Maulvi (Secondary) category, Mohammad Wasim of Chandauli secured first place, followed by Mohammad Qasim Ali of Mirzapur in second place and Shaima Parveen of Gorakhpur in third.
In the Alim (Senior Secondary) category, female students secured all three top positions. Jumi Fareen and Shaista Parveen of Varanasi, along with Ummul Khair of Amroha, were among the top three rank holders and will receive tablets.
Minister of state for minority welfare, Muslim Waqf and Haj, Danish Azad Ansari, said the state government was committed to providing quality and modern education to students studying in madrasas, many of whom come from economically weaker families....
