LUCKNOW, Sept. 6 -- The state government is taking steps to strengthen the teacher training system and improve the quality of school education. In this regard, Basic Education Department Special Secretary Yatindra Kumar has instructed director of UP SCERT, to take necessary action to assign the charge of Principal in 17 District Institutes of Education and Training (DIETs) to senior lecturers based on seniority. In addition, three senior lecturers have been given the additional charge of Principal at DIETs in Etah, Etawah and Mau. According to the letter issued by the Special Secretary of the UP government it was decided, after due consideration, to assign senior lecturers the charge of Principal to ensure the smooth functioning of the DIETs. Among the three senior lecturers/officers who have been assigned additional charge, the letter directs necessary action for assigning Aradhya Upadhyay, Senior Lecturer, DIET Aligarh, additional charge of DIET Etah; Atul Kumar Singh, District Inspector of Schools, Etawah, additional charge of DIET Etawah; and Atul Kumar Tiwari, Senior Lecturer, DIET Mau, additional charge of the post of Principal, DIET Mau. htc...
