LUCKNOW, Aug. 14 -- UP Congress president Ajay Rai on Thursday wrote a letter to chief minister Yogi Adityanath demanding a resolution to the issue of vacancies arising when candidates are selected for more than one post during police recruitment. "These vacant posts be immediately filled by the next eligible candidates. According to candidates who came to me, several individuals were selected for more than one post in the Police Computer Operator Grade-A Recruitment (2023) and the Sub-Inspector (Confidential)/Assistant Sub-Inspector (Clerk & Accounts) Recruitment (2023). In such a scenario, a candidate would accept the post with the higher pay scale. Leaving such vacated posts unfilled would be an injustice to the thousands of qualified youths awaiting employment," Rai said.
