LUCKNOW, Aug. 26 -- The Uttar Pradesh government has sanctioned Rs.6.70 crore for infrastructure work in 51 aided secondary schools under the Project Alankar, amid the ongoing #SchoolTheekKaro campaign in government schools. Of the Rs.6.70 crore sanctioned, Rs.5.52 crore will be released as the second instalment for 32 schools in 14 districts, while Rs.1.18 crore will be the third instalment for 19 schools in nine districts, according to an order issued by the Secondary Education Department on August 24. The funds will be used for repair, renovation, reconstruction, construction and maintenance work. Government assistance under the scheme is capped at 75% of the approved project cost, with subsequent instalments linked to work progress. The first list attached to the order includes schools like National Girls Inter College, Shahjahanpur, for which Rs 73.87 lakh has been approved, with Rs 29.55 lakh shown against the relevant instalment. Sanatan Dharm Banke Bihari Ram Inter College, Pilibhit, has an amount of Rs 59.82 lakh, with Rs 23.92 lakh shown against the instalment.....
