Unseasonal rain brings winter chill, day temp drops by 6.6 degrees

The maximum temperature fell by 6.6 degrees Celsius within 24 hours, providing an early indication of the approaching winter season.

The city's maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded at 24.8 degree Celsius, which was 7.3 degree Celsius below normal. A day earlier, the maximum temperature stood at 31.4 degree Celsius. Meanwhile, the minimum temperature on Wednesday night was 23.6 degree Celsius, about 5.6 degree Celsius above normal.
