Unidentified man's body recovered from drain in Doon
Dehradun, Feb. 14 -- An unidentified body of a man has been recovered from a drain in the Chandrabani area on Friday, police said. According to police, no visible injury marks or external wounds were found on the body.
Dehradun senior superintendent of police (SSP) Ajai Singh said: "Our control room received information about the body of an unidentified man lying in a drain near the Chandrabani crematorium. Acting promptly, a team from Patel Nagar police station reached the spot and recovered the body from the drain."
"The scene was documented through photography and videography by the field unit. During preliminary inspection, no visible injury marks or external wounds were found on the body," he said.
He said, "No identification documents were recovered from the deceased. Efforts are being made to ascertain his identity through local residents, but no information could be obtained." Singh said the body has been sent to the mortuary at Coronation Hospital for preservation and identification.
He added police are examining all possible angles in the matter....
