Unidentified man's body found with throat slit near railway track in Prayagraj
PRAYAGRAJ, Aug. 2 -- The body of an unidentified man, believed to be around 25 years old, was found with his throat slit in an orchard near a railway track in the trans-Ganga area of Prayagraj district on Saturday morning, police said. The body was found in Naua Ka Bagh, located alongside the railway track near Tilak Ka Pura village under Mauaima police station limits.
Police reached the scene, took the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem examination. The deceased has not yet been identified, and officials said efforts are underway to establish his identity using photographs of the body.
Assistant commissioner of Police (Phulpur) Raj Kumar, Mauaima station house officer Rammurti Yadav and a forensic team inspected the crime scene and began an investigation.
Three people were injured after a mini-bus operating under the Mukhyamantri Parivahan Gram Yojana lost control and crashed into a row of roadside shops near the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) in Naini on Friday night around 9.30 pm.
According to police, the bus was travelling from Rambagh to Drumadganj in Koraon when the driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle near the NSIC premises. The bus ploughed into several roadside establishments before coming to a halt after getting entangled in a roadside railing.
A youth lost his life while another sustained serious injuries after two motorcycles collided head-on in the Raniganj area of Prayagraj on Saturday morning.
According to police, Ravindra Kumar, a resident of Sarai Khan Dev under the Mauaima police station limits, was returning from Karnaipur on a motorcycle along with his companion, Lalluram, a resident of Jhaliha village. When they reached the canal culvert near Dev Murat Inter College in the Raniganj police station area, their motorcycle collided with another bike coming from the opposite direction.
Both riders suffered severe injuries in the accident. Police personnel rushed them to the Raniganj Trauma Center for treatment. However, doctors declared Lalluram dead on arrival. SI Surendra Kumar said that the body has been sent for post-mortem examination, and further investigation into the accident is underway....
