U.P Board to finalise 2027 exam centre list by October 22
PRAYAGRAJ, Oct. 19 -- The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) is in the final stages of determining examination centers for the 2027 High School and Intermediate board examinations. The final list is scheduled for release on October 22, following the resolution of objections and final approvals via customised software.
Board secretary Bhagwati Singh noted that over 5.2 million students have registered for the 2027 exams, marking one of the country's largest school examination events. Of the 5,204,713 registered candidates, 2,775,741 are High School students and 2,428,972 are Intermediate candidates.
The selection process began on August 24. Schools were required to upload infrastructure details to the board's portal, followed by physical inspections conducted by district-level committees. Verification reports were submitted by September 12, and the first list of proposed centers and student allocations was released on September 21. Schools were notified of their eligibility status on September 23.
Authorities are currently addressing objections from schools and students to finalise the list.

It is mandatory for centers to be equipped with high-definition, voice-recording CCTV cameras. Facilities must also feature reliable internet connectivity and power backups, such as generators or inverters.
The board further stipulates that centers provide well-ventilated rooms, adequate seating, separate clean toilets for boys and girls, and access to drinking water. Additionally, centers must have accessible road connectivity to ensure the secure transportation of question papers and answer sheets.
Student allocation will align with each center's seating capacity to prevent overcrowding and ensure the smooth conduct of the examinations....
