PRAYAGRAJ, July 27 -- Two youths riding a motorcycle were killed after a speeding car collided with them near Devibandh village under the Khiri police station area on Saturday night. Police have registered a case and launched a search for the absconding driver. According to police, Shailesh (25), a resident of Sugaunha Lakshanpur village under Koraon police station of Prayagraj, had gone towards Naribari for some work along with his friend Ramashankar, a resident of Ranivari village in Mirzapur's Lalganj police station area. The accident occurred at around 8:30 pm when the two were returning home. Near the Primary School in Devibandh village, a car coming from the opposite direction allegedly rammed into their motorcycle. Both riders suffered grievous injuries and died on the spot. After receiving information, Khiri police reached the scene, took possession of the bodies and initiated legal formalities. Khiri Station House Officer Krishna Mohan Singh said a case has been registered on the basis of a complaint lodged by Shailesh's brother. Using the vehicle registration number provided in the complaint, police are trying to identify and apprehend the driver, who fled the scene after the accident....
