Two women booked for 'luring' people to convert to Christianity
Dehradun, May 2 -- Two women were booked for allegedly trying to convert people to Christianity on false pretences, police said on Friday.
The accused were identified as Geeta Puri and Sunita Raj, both residents of Dehradun, and were booked under under relevant sections of the Uttarakhand Freedom of Religion Act and sections 62 (Punishment for attempting to commit offences punishable with imprisonment for life or other imprisonment) and 299 (Deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at Vasant Vihar police station....
