LUCKNOW, Aug. 26 -- Two government school teachers from Uttar Pradesh are among 45 teachers selected for the prestigious National Teachers' Award, 2025, announced by the ministry of education, government of India, on Monday. Madhurima Tiwari, 46, an assistant teacher at PM Shri Composite School, Rani Karunawati block in Nagar Palika, Mirzapur, and Ram Lal Singh Yadav, 42, of upper primary school, Badawapur, Bhadohi, will be honoured for their exemplary work in the field of education on the occasion of Teachers' Day on September 5. Each award carries a certificate, a cash award of Rs 50,000 and a silver medal. Madhurima Tiwari said the award has given recognition to her school and to the hard work of her teachers. She became a teacher in 2009, joined PM Shri Composite School in Mirzapur in 2011 and was made in charge in 2017. "When I was given charge of the school, there were only 56 students. Their number has now increased to 218. Last year, this school was upgraded as PM Shri School and the development took place at a fast pace. We now have a smart class, ICT labs, artificial intelligence and robotics technology," she said....
