VARANASI, Aug. 2 -- Sigra police arrested two members of an alleged interstate smuggling gang near NER Park, in front of Amul Dairy, during checking under Operation Chakravyuh, police said. Police recovered 56 packets containing 59.4 kg of illegal ganja, estimated to be worth Rs.30 lakh, along with a four-wheeler allegedly used for smuggling the contraband. The accused identified as Mumtaz Farooqui ,40, and Munna Farooqui ,39, both residents of Rohtas, Bihar. A case has been registered against the two accused under sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act. htc...
