PRAYAGRAJ, Aug. 28 -- Two of three men who allegedly gang-raped a woman after asking her to meet them to discuss a job opportunity were arrested in Kaushambi, police said on Wednesday. While the said incident reportedly took place about a month ago, no complaint was lodged. Police filed a case of sexual assault under relevant sections at the Pipri police station of the district on Tuesday evening after videos of the act surfaced online. The videos were allegedly shot by a neighbour. As per reports, the woman works as a househelp in Prayagraj's Dhoomanganj. Allegedly, no FIR was lodged at the time of the incident since both parties had agreed to settle. The two arrested on Tuesday were identified as Deepak Soni and Rahul Yadav. Their accomplice Mayank Sahu was still out of police bounds when this report was filed. Circle officer (Chail) Abhishek Singh said the cattle shed where the incident allegedly took place was owned by Rahul Yadav, he said, adding the case was being investigated. He added that at the time of incident, no written complaint was received and the case was disposed. However, after the videos surfaced, a case was registered on the complaint of the Chail police outpost in-charge.
