PRAYAGRAJ, Feb. 28 -- A truck driver, his helper and several youths on motorcycles have been accused of harassing girl students outside primary and upper primary schools in Thanapur under the Tharwai police station area. According to reports, the group frequently parked near the school and behaved indecently toward the girls. On Friday, when teachers asked them to leave, the accused allegedly argued and misbehaved. As the situation worsened, teachers dialled 112 emergency services. Seeing villagers gather, the bikers fled the spot. SHO Santosh Pandey reached the scene and detained the truck driver, his helper and seized the vehicle. He assured strict action. Village head Vijayalakshmi Singh Chandel lodged a complaint at Tharwai police station and demanded firm legal action.
