KANPUR, May 3 -- Three people were killed after two motorcycles collided and a truck subsequently ran over the victims on GT Road in Kannauj district on Saturday, police said. The accident occurred near Sarai Prayag in the Gursahaiganj police station area when the two motorcycles crashed, leaving four people seriously injured. Moments later, a truck coming from behind ran over those lying on the road and sped off the scene. Among the deceased was 45-year-old Munnu Tiwari, who was taking his daughter, Manvi, to Chhibramau for her BSc examination. Manvi was thrown clear of the collision and survived with injuries. The two other deceased were identified as Rohit, 28, and Ankit, 26, both residents of Jaunpur district. Police said Rohit and Ankit were travelling to Noida on a motorcycle after attending a family wedding in their village. All four injured were rushed to a community health centre, where doctors declared Tiwari and one of the men brought dead. The third succumbed to injuries later at the district hospital, while Manvi is undergoing treatment. Police said the bodies have been sent for the post-mortem examination and a search is underway for the truck involved....
