Director general of police Rajeev Krishna and additional director general (law and order) Amitabh Yash are closely tracking developments from the state control room.
According to officials in the DGP HQ, Noida Police and the local administration are actively engaging with workers, company management and other stakeholders to ensure a peaceful and fair resolution of the dispute.
To minimise inconvenience to the public, traffic diversions have been implemented in affected areas. Officials stated that efforts are being made to ensure that daily life remains as normal as possible despite the ongoing situation.
Heavy security arrangements have been put in place across Noida and adjoining sensitive areas with adequate deployment of local police, Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) and paramilitary forces. Surveillance has also been intensified in neighbouring districts.
The police have also cracked down on misinformation being circulated through social media. Two X (formerly Twitter) handles have been booked for spreading false and provocative content.
Additionally, more than 50 bot accounts created within the last 24 hours have been identified for allegedly spreading rumours and misleading narratives related to the labour issue.
The UP STF will conduct a detailed digital investigation into these accounts. htc...
