Top NDA leaders offer prayers at Kashi Vishwanath temple
VARANASI, Sept. 18 -- : Defence minister Rajnath Singh, chief minister Yogi Adityanath, Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Union minister Chirag Paswan and Union minister of state for finance Pankaj Chaudhary offered prayers inside the sanctum sanctorum of the Kashi Vishwanath temple on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday on Thursday. Jalabhishek (ritual bathing of the deity) and aarti were part of the ceremonies. Four laddoos weighing 19 kg each (totaling 76 kg) were prepared for the occasion.
Rajnath Singh said, "Everyone prayed for the Prime Minister's longevity and continued good health, while also wishing for the realisation of the goal of a 'Developed India' (Viksit Bharat)." Adityanath stated that senior leaders performed special prayers and rituals at the sacred abode of Baba Vishwanath for the prime minister's th and long life, wishing that he continues to lead India for a long time.
Rajnath and Adityanath felicitated the sanitation workers serving at Kashi Vishwanath Dham. Subsequently, they distributed sweets to devotees within the temple premises.
