Tigress Riddhi seen with her new cub
Jaipur, June 7 -- Tigress RBT-124 (Riddhi) has been spotted with her cub in the Nal Valley area of Ranthambore Tiger Reserve, confirming her third litter and bringing fresh excitement among wildlife enthusiasts and forest officials.
The tigress was recently spotted in the Nal Valley forest area with a cub, bringing excitement among wildlife lovers and forest officials. Riddhi had earlier given birth to one cub in 2022 and three cubs in May 2023.
During routine patrolling and monitoring by the forest department, the presence of the tigress and her cub was recorded. According to officials, continuous surveillance is being maintained on their movement to ensure their safety and protection.
DFO Ranthambore Tiger Reserve First, Manas Singh, said, "The department is closely monitoring the activities of tigress Riddhi and her cub to ensure their protection and well-being."
He added that the healthy sighting of the cub is a positive indicator of successful tiger conservation efforts in Ranthambore Tiger Reserve.
With this development, the number of tigers, tigresses, and cubs in Ranthambore Tiger Reserve has reached 77, including 23 tigresses, 25 tigers, and 29 cubs.
Tigress Riddhi had previously given birth to three cubs in May 2023, marking the second instance of her motherhood in the reserve. In November 2022, she was seen in Zone 3 with a cub, though the cub later went missing. She has now been spotted again with a cub, bringing renewed hope for conservationists....
