Agra, May 27 -- Three of a family died in a road accident on the Grand Trunk road near Panethi village within limits of Akrabad police station of Aligarh in the wee hours of Tuesday. The truck driver is feared to have dozed off while driving, and the uncontrolled truck rammed into another truck ahead. Two persons died on the spot while a minor girl succumbed later during treatment. Three others, including the truck driver, were injured. were injured and hospitalised. Garvit Singh, deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Barla Circle of Aligarh stated that the accident took place on the national highway near Paneethi village at about 4.30am on Tuesday. "Prima facie, it is suspected that the driver of the truck dozed off while driving and the uncontrolled truck rammed into another truck moving ahead. In all, six people were injured in the accident and out of them, three died. The bodies were sent for post mortem examination," said Singh. The uncontrolled truck that rammed into another truck was driven by Shivpal and was carrying paper rolls from Kannauj to Yamuna Nagar in Haryana. On the way, Shivpal provided a lift to his brother Virendra Kumar and his family members, including his son Nitesh, daughter Nandini, grandson Suryansh and granddaughter Suryanshi, who were to get down at Aligarh. However destiny had other plans as the truck rammed inot another truck.. Virendra Kumar (35), Nitesh (20) died on the spot while Suryanshi (3) succumbed to injuries at the Aligarh district hospital later. Three others, driver Shivpal, Nandini and Suryansh, were injured and hospitalised. In a separate road accident in Aligarh, 24-year-old Sunil died when his motorcycle rammed into a dumper truck that took an abrupt turn near Kharoa Pulia on Atrauli - Aalampur road in Aligarh on Tuesday morning.
