VARANASI, July 17 -- Three people were killed and two others critically injured when a speeding truck ran over them in Kudaran village, under the Ahraura police station area of Mirzapur district in eastern Uttar Pradesh in the wee hours of Thursday, police said. The victims were sleeping outside their house due to hot and humid weather in Kudaran village along the Varanasi-Shaktinagar highway when the truck, having lost control after a tyre burst, ran over them and crashed into the house, added a police officer.
