LUCKNOW, Sept. 13 -- Three recently published books by retired IPS officer Shailendra Pratap Singh were released at Kaifi Azmi Academy on Saturday. The function was organised by Holland Hall Alumni Association of Allahabad University. Speaking after the release, Singh said one of the three books is about his village while the other two are travelogues. While talking about his village, he shared several lesser-known anecdotes about Suryakant Tripathi Nirala. On his foreign travels, he spoke about his trips to Africa and Japan. Retired IPS Badri Prasad Singh recalled his association with Shailendra Pratap Singh since 1970 and recollected their service days chronologically. He said though Singh studied political science, he is essentially a philosopher. He also spoke about Singh's love of Masai Mara (Kenya).
