Temporary space set up for attendants at Trauma Centre
LUCKNOW, Dec. 16 -- The King George's Medical University (KGMU) has arranged a temporary space for attendants sleeping under the open sky after the demolition of the shelter home that was established for a long time in front of the Trauma Centre building, said officials.
A newly constructed ramp at the rear of the Trauma Centre, which goes to the fifth floor, has been opened for attendants. The space has the capacity to accomodate around 150 attendants. Earlier, this was unused for emergency exit. Security personnel are also instructed that no attendant should be found sleeping under the open sky, said Prof Hemraj Singh, chief medical superintendent, Trauma Centre.
Few months ago, a shelter home in front of the Trauma Centre was demolished by the KGMU administration for the construction of a new diagnostic centre and patient utility centre. Since then, attendants were used to stay under the open sky....
