PRAYAGRAJ, June 8 -- A 16-year-old boy drowned in the Ganga while bathing near Ujihini Ganga Ghat under Sandipan Ghat police station area of Kaushambi on Sunday morning. Despite prolonged search, efforts by local divers and an NDRF team, the teenager remained untraceable till late afternoon. According to police and family members, Nilesh Kumar (16), a resident of Gauspur village, had gone to the riverside along with three other boys from his family to graze goats on Sunday morning. While the boys were bathing in the Ganga near Ujihini Ghat, Nilesh allegedly slipped into deep water and was swept away. His companions raised an alarm and rushed back to the village. Police and local divers began a search after receiving information. When the teenager could not be traced, an NDRF team from Prayagraj joined the operation. Despite hours of searching, no trace was found till Sunday evening....
