Teams formed to suggest land reforms: Govt
Dehradun, June 24 -- The state government on Tuesday constituted teams of senior officials to recommend reforms in land management and oversee the digitisation of land records as part of efforts to improve governance, reduce disputes and create an investment-friendly ecosystem in the state.
At a committee of secretaries meeting chaired by chief secretary Anand Bardhan, Uttarakhand formed two three-member panels to recommend land reforms and modernise land records through digitisation and technical integration.
Discussions covered land settlement, investor access, dispute resolution, revenue litigation, real-time record updates and paperless services.
Bardhan directed departments to prepare short- and long-term action plans and set up a Project Implementation Unit for implementation and monitoring.
