PRAYAGRAJ, Aug. 23 -- The district administration will conduct a survey to assess crop damage caused by heavy rain and flooding in Prayagraj over the past few days. Teams of sub-divisional magistrates (SDMs) and tehsildars have been formed to conduct the exercise. District magistrate Manish Kumar Verma has directed officials to visit affected areas in their respective tehsils and assess the actual extent of crop losses. The teams have been asked to submit their survey reports within two days. The reports will include details of crops affected by rain and floods as well as the extent and nature of the damage, the DM shared.
