Jaipur/Ajmer, Oct. 8 -- Suspended Ajmer Central Jail jailer Divya Chaudhary was arrested from a residential flat in Kota on Wednesday for allegedly taking two female inmates out of jail without permission and making them clean her private flat, police said. Sonia had been absconding for two months, while jail guard Sonia Chaudhary, another accused, who remains at large, is being traced, police said. Deputy SP (North) Shivam Joshi said the two inmates, were serving life sentences for murder. "On July 12, 2026, Divya Chaudhary took the two inmates out of jail in a private vehicle without court permission or making an entry in the jail records. She made them clean her private flat in ARG City, Ajmer," Joshi said.
