LUCKNOW, Oct. 20 -- A patient's allegation of being charged for an orthopaedic cast without a receipt at Rani Laxmibai Hospital in Rajajipuram prompted director general (DG) of health services Dr Pawan Kumar Arun to order the immediate removal of the staff member concerned and an inquiry during a surprise inspection on Monday. During his hour-long inspection, Arun met Anisa Mateen, a resident of Sanjay Nagar, in the orthopaedics department's plaster room in the new building. She alleged that she had paid for a plaster on her arm but was not issued a receipt.
