Stolen rifle recovered, Agra man ready for haircut
AGRA, Sept. 2 -- For Uday Singh, Tuesday brought more than a police recovery - it ended a four-year wait for a haircut.
The Kheragarh resident had not cut his hair or beard since his licensed rifle was stolen in 2022, after vowing to do so only when the weapon was found.
Police recovered the rifle on Tuesday, leaving Singh delighted and finally ready to return to his old look.
Uday Singh, who runs a school, said thieves broke into his house on June 6, 2022, and stole his .315-bore rifle, 20 cartridges, 2.5kg silver, 22 tola gold and Rs 4 lakh cash.
Deputy commissioner of police (DCP) (West) Aditya Singh said Kheragarh police, along with the surveillance team, arrested Dhruv Singh, a thief carrying a Rs 25,000 reward.
Police recovered the rifle, two cartridges, Rs 50,000 cash and a motorcycle....
