Lucknow, May 9 -- The Uttar Pradesh government will conduct awareness campaigns from the state level to districts and villages for extensive publicity and outreach of self-enumeration under Census 2027. Instructions have also been issued to set up helpdesks and assistance centres in urban and rural areas for citizens' convenience. Till Friday, 3,10,910 people in the state had completed self-enumeration online since the process began on May 7. Citizens can submit details of themselves and family members through the Census portal as part of the first phase of Census 2027. The government said the initiative aims to make Census 2027 more transparent, technology-driven and accurate, while ensuring faster and error-free data collection. Authorities have assured full compliance with data security and confidentiality standards during the self-enumeration process. After the 15-day self-enumeration period, the house-listing exercise will begin from May 22.
