Dehradun, Sept. 19 -- Uttarakhand has improved its national ranking in the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS) progress dashboard, moving from 13th to ninth position, officials said at a review meeting chaired by chief secretary Anand Bardhan on Friday. The meeting of the State Apex Committee for the CCTNS project reviewed the progress of CCTNS/ICJS 2.0, technical infrastructure, network connectivity, the data recovery centre, availability of equipment and issues related to the system integrator. Officials from the home department said that Uttarakhand has also secured the third position nationally on the ICJS (Interoperable Criminal Justice System)2.0 dashboard. The meeting also reviewed the state's performance on the New Criminal Laws Implementation (NCLI ) dashboard. Officials said the state had moved to 18th position from 24th in the previous review.
