LUCKNOW, Sept. 27 -- The high commissioner of Sri Lanka to India, Mahishini Colonne, visited the International Buddhist Research Institute on Saturday before inaugurating the 'Soul of Art' International Art Exhibition at the State Lalit Kala Akademi. During her visit to the institute, Colonne met with the director and interacted with scholars, faculty members, and students. She also toured the campus, including the Pali Education Centre. Later, she inaugurated the art exhibition, which showcases paintings, sculptures, photography, installations and contemporary works by both national and international artists. Following the ceremony, Colonne toured the galleries and spoke with participating artists. She highlighted the vital role of art and Buddhism in fostering cultural diplomacy, international friendship and world peace.
