Spl training for Indian coaches, athletes by Vietnamese masters
LUCKNOW, June 4 -- The Masters National Technical Training Camp, organised by the Vovinam Association of India and the World Vovinam Federation (WVVF) began in Lucknow on Tuesday.
The camp was inaugurated at the Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Language University by MLC Mukesh Sharma, Pawan Singh Chauhan, vice-chancellor Ajay Taneja, Association president Praveen Garg, and general secretary Shankar Mahabale.
As part of the camp, Vietnamese masters Nguyen Hac and Pham Chi began training senior players and coaches from various states in advanced techniques of Vietnamese swordsmanship, staff fighting, and self-defence. Garg said that the camp will continue till June 7, after which the Masters Championship and belt award ceremony will be held. He said that senior players, coaches, and technical officials from 21 states are training in advanced techniques of the sport during the six-day Vovinam event, which the Olympic Council of Asia recognises.
In light of the Asian Championship to be held in Cambodia in November, players and coaches will be familiarised with international-level technical knowledge and modern methods. htc...
