KANPUR, May 13 -- Ajendra Singh Lodhi, the Samajwadi Party's Lok Sabha MP from Hamirpur, was booked in Mahoba early on Tuesday for calling Prime Minister Narendra Modi 'anti-national' during a protest against electricity-related and other issues on Monday. The FIR was registered at 2:05 am at Mahoba Kotwali on a complaint by BJP district media in-charge Satyendra Pratap Gupta under Sections 132 (assault on a public official), 189(2) (unlawful assembly), 196(1) (promoting enmity), and 352 (intentional insult) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, police said. Lodhi made the remarks during a Samajwadi party demonstration outside the district collectorate on Monday afternoon. Party workers had gathered to protest against electricity related issues and blocked traffic near the collectorate for close to an hour, disrupting work and affecting visitors to government offices.
