Lucknow, March 17 -- The much awaited Uttar Pradesh Sangeet Natak Akademi (UP SNA) awards for preservation, promotion and dissemination of music, dance, theatre and folk arts in the state were announced during a press conference organised at the akademi on Monday. Akademi chairperson, Prof. Jayant Khot, said awards spanning four years 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 were announced, which were delayed because the committee was not constituted at that time. Along with this, artists who have made remarkable contributions in the field of theatre and stage will be honoured with the B.M. Shah Award and the Safdar Hashmi Award.
