slugfest erupts over notice to minister over d.a. allegations
Dehradun, July 30 -- Days after a Dehradun vigilance court served state minister Ganesh Joshi notice over allegations of the possession of disproportionate assets, the state units of the BJP and Congress engaged in a slugfest over the matter on Wednesday. The notice was issued on July 25.
State Congress chief spokesperson Garima Mehra Dasauni noted that Joshi was the first minister to receive such a notice, and similar allegations had surfaced against him in the past.
" The Vigilance Establishment had earlier sought permission from the state cabinet to pursue a disproportionate assets case against him, but it was denied.
Be it the horticulture scam or the Sainya Dham controversy, he has remained in the headlines for the wrong reasons," she said.
BJP state chief Mahendra Bhatt said the minister would respond to the allegations against him in court. "If a matter has been taken up by a court, the reply should be given before the court," he said....
