Sitapur villages breathe easy after tiger rescue
LUCKNOW, Oct. 6 -- A male tiger, aged between 5-7 years, that had been spreading fear among residents of Maholi in Sitapur district was rescued on Sunday.
"Tranquilisation was carried out by Dr Daya Shankar, a vet from Dudhwa," said Sitapur divisional forest officer Naveen Khandelwal.
The rescue comes just days after a tigress was captured from the same area. Experts will now examine the tiger's health before taking further decisions....
