Sidharth Nath Singh hits back at Akhilesh over Ayodhya trust allegations
Prayagraj, June 11 -- BJP MLA and former Uttar Pradesh minister Sidharth Nath Singh on Wednesday criticised Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav over his allegations of embezzling more than Rs.7 crore from offerings made to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust in Ayodhya.
Addressing reporters in Prayagraj, Singh accused Yadav of repeatedly hurting the sentiments of Sanatan Dharma followers and targeting institutions associated with the Hindu faith. He alleged that the SP chief remained silent on reported irregularities linked to certain religious and educational institutions while questioning matters related to Ayodhya.
Singh said Yadav frequently questions issues concerning Ayodhya, Kashi and Mathura and urged him not to hurt religious sentiments.
Responding to allegations regarding irregularities in reservations during recruitment processes, Singh termed the claims baseless. He also alleged that candidates from a particular caste received undue favour in selections conducted during the Samajwadi Party government....
