Shiksha Mitras' honorarium raised from Rs.10k to Rs.18k per month, funds released
LUCKNOW, Oct. 7 -- The honorarium of Shiksha Mitras in the state has been increased under the Samagra Shiksha scheme.
A financial limit of Rs.460.23 crore has been released to cover the honorarium for September and October for the 127,841 Shiksha Mitras working in the state.
The revised monthly rate is Rs.18,000 (up from Rs.10,000). District-wise funds have been allocated for the payment of honorariums for both months, a spokesperson said.
An amount of Rs.230.11 crore has been earmarked for the September honorarium and another Rs.230.11 crore for October, making a total provision of Rs.460.23 crore for the two months.
Instructions have been issued to the concerned districts to ensure that payments are processed according to the prescribed allocations.

District-wise allocations for the September and October honorariums have been made for the 127,841 Shiksha Mitras serving under Samagra Shiksha scheme during the 2026-27 academic session.
This raise equals an increase of 80% in the honorarium. Receiving the honorarium at this enhanced rate will provide Shiksha Mitras with additional financial support.
