Lucknow, Aug. 21 -- The SGPGIMS is bringing international expertise and hands-on training to the city through EMPARV International 2026, being held on the campus from August 20 to 23, even as emergency departments increasingly handle trauma, cardiac emergencies, sepsis and critically ill patients. The valedictory function of the conference will be held at Shruti Auditorium, SGPGIMS, on August 23 at 10 am. Deputy chief minister Brajesh Pathak is expected to attend as chief guest. SGPGIMS director prof Radha Krishna Dhiman said, "Organised by the department of emergency medicine, SGPGIMS, with the Association of Emergency Medicine Educators (AEME), the four-day conference will focus on strengthening the skills needed for rapid decision-making and life-saving interventions." A major highlight will be 21 hands-on workshops over two days, covering airway management, trauma life support, ECMO, point-of-care ultrasound, ventilation and atient safety.
