Sex trade under guise of massage parlour busted; six held
PRAYAGRAJ, Sept. 8 -- A sex racket operating under the cover of a massage parlour was busted on Saturday night, Prayagraj police said. The racket was being run from a luxurious house in ADA Colony in the Naini area.
Following a public uproar, police conducted a raid and arrested two women and four men, they said. Six mobile phones and cash amounting to Rs.6,640 were recovered from the suspects. A named FIR has been registered against seven individuals, including two women involved in the illicit trade of sex work. Six of the accused have been sent to jail, while one named suspect was at large, police added.
As per reports, the sex trade has been running for the past few months. Frustrated by the ongoing illicit activities, locals stormed the house on Saturday night and created a commotion.
Acting on the information, the Naini police reached the spot and arrested two women, who are from Begusarai in Bihar and Nadia in West Bengal. The men are from different places in UP.
The racket was being operated by Santosh Kumar and Ashok Kumar Shukla, and lured women and young girls to work for them with promises of easy money....
