PRAYAGRAJ, May 14 -- Angry over being served only salt and roti for dinner, a man allegedly killed his elderly father and buried the body in a field behind the house in Sitouli village under the Utraon police station area in the trans-Ganga region of the district on Monday night. The incident came to light two days later on Wednesday after the accused was seen dumping soil at the burial spot. According to police, Dayaram Yadav (60), a farmer and resident of Sitouli village, lived with his wife Sumitra, who is paralysed, and younger son. Police said the younger son allegedly killed his father by repeatedly attacking him with a stick on Monday night and later buried the body behind the house. On Wednesday, villagers saw him dumping soil over a site where he had buried the body and grew suspicious.
