Haridwar, April 12 -- A science museum in the hill districts of Garhwal division is coming up in Pauri town, with construction work expected to be completed in the next couple of months, officials said. The museum, being built along the Pauri-Srinagar road, began construction in November 2025 and is being developed on a "learning by doing" theme, aimed at providing students, visitors and science enthusiasts with hands-on experience of scientific concepts. "Science Museum is the first of its kind at the Pauri district headquarters and will be a major attraction not only for science enthusiasts but also for tourists. Various aspects of science will be displayed through simple, interactive and practical models, exhibitions, audio-visual presentations and AI-based modules," said Pauri Garhwal district magistrate Swati S Bhadauriya. She added that the museum building is being designed in an eco-friendly manner, incorporating scientific elements in both its interior and exterior to create a holistic learning environment. Officials said the facility is expected to be open to the public by the end of this year....
